We provide hands-on activities, classroom resources, and scientific knowledge in an engaging format.

Engaging Learning Experiences

Our workshops provide engaging learning experiences that transform how teachers approach nuclear science education. By incorporating interactive activities and real-world applications, educators gain the resources to create dynamic learning environments for their students.

About Nuclear EDU

Nuclear EDU represents a unique collaboration between the College of Business and Information Systems and the Nuclear Engineering Department at SC State University. Our workshop series brings together diverse expertise to address an important educational need.

Our mission is to provide educators with the knowledge, resources, and confidence to effectively understand nuclear science concepts in their classrooms. By combining the technical expertise of our Nuclear Engineering students with the communication and outreach skills of our Business students (specializing in marketing, accounting, and agribusiness), we've created a comprehensive approach to nuclear science education.

This interdisciplinary collaboration allows us to address the scientific aspects of nuclear energy and waste management and the economic, communication, and community engagement dimensions. Our dedicated students work alongside experts to develop and deliver engaging, informative workshops, bridging the gap between complex nuclear concepts and effective classroom teaching.

Join us as we empower Orangeburg County educators with the resources to inspire the next generation of scientifically literate citizens.
